About

I learned this late so you don't have to.

I'm [Your Name]. I'm the first person in my family to [finish college / work in an office / earn more than my parents combined]. Today I'm a CFO with an MBA. On paper, I made it.

What the paper doesn't show is how much of it I figured out by accident. Nobody at home could tell me what a 401(k) match was, why a Roth IRA mattered at 25, or that sending money home every month was quietly deciding my retirement for me. I learned each of those things years after they would have been most useful, usually from a coworker who mentioned it in passing.

The people who most need a financial mentor are the ones least likely to have one. That's not a character flaw. It's just who was in the room.

This site is the mentor I didn't have. It's written for first-generation professionals and anyone who never had someone to ask, in plain language, in the order the information is actually useful.

What I am and what I'm not

How this site works

Every lesson is short, has one infographic you can save or share, and ends with the single thing to do next. The free email course is the ten most important lessons, one a day.
